Hangar Overview

A total of 91 private hangars have been built at the Mammoth Yosemite Airport. A generous mix of 19 Corporate Hangars, 50 Executive Hangars, and 22 Personal Storage Hangars can accommodate everything from Gliders and Light Helicopters to Challengers and Falcon 900s.

Each hangar offers a safe home for your aircraft and a great place to store your airport vehicle and adventure gear. Imagine flying in to Mammoth and having your boat, motorcycles, snowmobiles, skis, golf clubs and whatever else you can imagine waiting for you to enjoy your vacation in paradise.

Maybe you would add a restroom in the corner and a nice office or flight planning room to plan your next adventure. The possibilities are endless.

All Hangars Include:

  • South-facing, with an unobstructed view of majestic Mount Morrison and the runway.
  • All metal construction
  • A variety of available options, including restrooms, offices, insulation and heating.
  • Smooth-finished concrete floor
  • Pre-wired for dual telephone lines
  • Plumbed for water, and propane

Personal Storage Hangar

  • 10'0" wide x 36'0" deep for 360 square feet of floor area.
  • Will accommodate small personal helicopters, folding-wing gliders and experimental aircraft.

Executive 1 Hangar

  • 42'0" wide x 40'0" deep for 1,680 square feet of floor area.
  • Will accommodate single-engine and most light twin-engine aircraft such as the Beechcraft Baron.

Executive 2 Hangar

  • 50'0" wide x 48'0" deep for 2,400 square feet of floor area.
  • Will accommodate 2 single-engine aircraft or one cabin-class twin-engine aircraft such as the Ccessna 421 Golden Eagle.

Corporate 1 Hangar

  • 60'0" wide x 56'0" deep for 3,360 square feet of floor area.
  • Will accommodate three single-engine aircraft, and most turboprops.

Corporate 2 Hangar

  • 72'4" wide x 70'0" deep for 5,060 square feet of floor area.
  • Accommodates five single-engine aircraft, and large private jets through the Canadair Challenger and Dassault Falcon 900
